would u believe it, Dave Hawkes somehow gets $320 worth of tickets to the Otago Lions game.. for free!! awesome.. so went with him, JC and Mike.. and well just can't wait for the Christchurch test now.. i just enjoy being around Brits.. they're such a rowdy but cheery crowd, esp with their British flags with their football clubs.. they must be the best fans in the world, English, Irish, Scottish and Welsh combined..
and did talk to quite a few of them.. in retrospect, 6 Brits is a very respectable number considering the random barrier that i've to penetrate and also the fact i'm quite shy.. so 6? well i met 3 while cycling around the Peninsula.. actually took a picture with them, telling them i was in a competition to get all four Home Nations - which ultimately i failed coz missed Ireland and Scotland - 2 Englishmen and 1 Welshman with his Glamorgan CC jacket.. all quite old..
then met another Englishman, Scotsman(just dint have the guts to ask to take a pic with him), and Irishman(aarggh again!!).. will try and do my challenge in Christchurch.. obviously experience would help me and will try and make more progress..
but it's like something that u see and have known for a while suddenly unfolding right in front of ya.. u see footage of sport in the UK, Coro Street, etc.. suddenly all the people from there are walking alongside ya to Carisbrook.. it's like a dream.. and wow, i could actually live with these ppl in the UK in the future.. maybe for research..
anyway took heaps of pics but will put them up tomorrow..
