unbelievable.. i'm over the moon.. and i'm still trying to come to terms with the fact that Otago has upset the much-proclaimed-best-rugby-union-in-the-world Canterbury on their home turf at Jade Stadium, Christchurch.. sure we did beat them at the Brook, but this one should top that one esp considering how long it's been since Otago/Highlanders last won at Jade Stadium/Lancaster Park..
shame can't fly to Auckland for the NPC Final.. unless Hortiresearch does want to interview me for a job in Auckland this week - and i think that's p hopeful now but not too concerned abt it coz i know what else i want to do this summer already - there's no chance of me heading up to Auks any time soon.. but i'll be watching Otago next Saturday night that's for sure.. not sure where but definitely will be cheering Otago if they play in Albany - North Harbour - or Eden Park - Auckland..
and finally, pls remind me to go up for a chocolate at family time on Sunday for Chris Smylie coz he scored two tries against Canterbury tonight and was awesome..
anyway it's the first day without classes.. although my timetable has started spacing out since Monday.. it's a p good scenario in the buildup to exams coz it means u've got heaps of time to study and really go into it.. but when u get sick of studying, there really is nothing else to do.. it's good then that's it's spring.. i reckon i can only study for close to 4 hours to effectively really know my stuff.. after that, really u get sick of it, esp when it comes to really technical stuff like gluconeogenesis pathways, why mitochondria are related to rickettsia prowazekii, etc.. phew..
today had my first wave-ride.. but the sun decided to hide itself so it was p cold.. then had a bat in the nets with my new Hero bat.. borrowed Aviator and forgot the name of the other movie.. will tell ya later.. tomorrow will go and watch either Wallace & Gromit or World's Fastest Indian.. choices..
