my final post for a while

today felt like a thousand farewells, and how apt that it was pouring with rain today in Dunners.. well i set off for Cromwell tomorrow afternoon with Jess, Roxy and Jacqui and will be staying there for a month pruning the fine vineyards in the glorious Central Otago summer.. hopefully summer that is.. and u can thank the fine 2006 Pinot Noir on me :)

anyway, started the day knocking down walls in church.. 4 rooms became two, and it was p good fun.. Bena managed to get me - we compromised and i agreed to come around 10 - Jian, Chris Smylie, George and Phil, to clear out the rooms and then just knock the stuffing out of those separating walls.. man my throat was full of plaster after that!! and pinkbatts-from-1988 which made the skin around the eyes itchy..

hey d ya find that when u've suddenly got to wake up early the following day, and when u set ur alarm that in ur dreams, u find urself waking up, thinking it's time to get up but it's not.. or that u try to get up but just can't coz something' s not quite right.. well had it this morning when i had to wake up earlier than usual, i.e. 8.30.. well Jess actually woke me up when she called me.. but yeah it's so weird.. like u're waking up a thousand times, but u're not actually up..

anyway they've got the carpet on the stage which is p good.. by the time i get back from Cromwell, the church will prob look a whole lot.. wouldn't say nicer, rather newer with all those changes..

after that went to help Jess get boxes from Pak N'Save and her vacuum cleaner from someone in Pine Hill with my car.. it was good times.. talked heaps and it was really nice just spending time together before she leaves Dunners for good.. still hasn't quite sunk in that Jess or for that matter, everyone i know who's leaving, that they're not going to be around for any longer and that the closer it gets to the final moments, it feels like u have to treasure those moments..

it's good then that it's coming towards the end of 2005... or at least i can say that today is the last day of the 2005 on-season.. tomorrow, it's a different life.. until next year.. from now till then, my life is completely different from what i'm meant to be doing.. which is why i'm so glad to get out of Dunners and do something different and hopefully enjoy the summer..

later in the day, had the Poyntons over for dinner at my place.. it was quite impromptu, and started with the idea of going to the Green Island dairy with 35 flavours of ice-cream.. it was 4.45 and i thought hmm, maybe should ask them over for dinner just one last time before they left Dunners for good.. and yeah they had nothing in their flat.. it was a p interesting time.. after dinner, went to the Green Island dairy then back to their place to pick up their chair.. and that was that..

so i may not blog for a while due to lack of resources :) but i remember Sam did blog a bit despite being in Hastings.. but he did have Dave Pom's computer.. i have nothing thus far.. maybe my landlady has a computer.. even then won't have time.. will have to go to internet cafe to get news.. still keen to get news esp towards the end of this month with the ABs and Kiwis..

No no son, I probably blogged from Dave's stepdad's computer twice in total. We went to the internet cafés three or for times a week!
