Sunday School stories still work

story of the week - David and Goliath.. am reading 1 Samuel right now and have reached the part where David and Goliath met and there are two parts of the story which helped me a lot.. and will prob help ya out..

remember the part where David put on Saul's armour and it was just so uncomfortable that he decided not to put it on even though he was facing the greatest and most frightening warrior of his time.. well meditating on it and relating it to my life in the last couple of days, where i've been a bit low thinking about my studies and not-so-good terms tests and wondering if i will ever do what i really want to do in life.. and it just showed me that there's not only the world's way to success.. in fact u shouldn't need to rely on the world for ways to find success.. if anything, God's there, and all u need is to trust in Him.. really the best armour in the world can only protect ya that much.. but God can not only protect ya but he can lead u to victory..

in the end David just took his slingshot and several smooth stones.. and God.. which leads to the next part.. of coz we remember the part where he yells out to Goliath.. it just reminded me that even those who defile the one true God will never prevail.. and that the battles we face will always be between God and sin.. it just showed me how much faith David had in his Lord.. i mean he could have ended up becoming a forgotten idiot who got caned by the biggest warrior in history.. but because he had God on his side, showing him the way to bring down this monstrosity.. which just shows that with God, He can lead u to find extraordinary talents and strength which u never knew was possible..

and i guess maybe i have strength somewhere else.. maybe it's not just marks.. after all they are only worth 10-15% those tests but there's just far more to doing research.. lab work and all.. enthusiasm.. if ya get 90s only because ya a study geek with no life then u'll never make it anywhere.. which is sadly the philosophy which most kids have back in Malaysia..

furthermore, add Ecclesiastes 3 abt the time and season for everything.. and yeah it's the best advice i've needed this week.. perhaps God knows that the big exams are more important.. and they are.. the marks will come then..

anyway, it's Thursday and it's been a p good day.. sunny weather and all.. just three days to the NRL Grand Final.. Western Suburbs-Ashfield-Balmain Tigers
