the story of two Winonas

and I probably may not have gotten the name Winona from Winona Ryder..

Once upon a time, there was this guy named Cameron. And he liked this girl named Winona.

Cameron and Winona spent a lot of time together doing stuff they really liked doing themselves. However, Winona never knew Cameron liked Winona, and for years, Cameron and Winona were very good friends..

In the meantime, Cameron started liking another girl, also named Winona. Cameron and Winona also spent a lot of time together doing stuff they really liked doing themselves.. However, not for long, because Winona needed to do more for herself than Cameron could. Then one day, Winona and Cameron had a big fight, and they never saw each other again.

Until two years later, on a bitterly windy afternoon in bitterly cold Dunedin, Cameron saw Winona. Winona didn’t see Cameron even though Cameron and Winona were heading towards each other. In fact, they turned left towards the Adams Building although Winona eventually peeled away from the Adams Building.

Butterflies were going off in Cameron. Cameron just had no idea what to do when he saw Winona face to face, let alone what to say to Winona. It was a pretty bad fight and it had been two long years since Cameron and Winona had talked to each other. Winona was a 3rd year Med student and Cameron was well at least doing something in the Adams Building.

Cameron did think Winona saw him but she probably thought she’d forgotten him. But then again they went to the movies twice together. His best friend, Louise, who happens to be married happily to an economist, told him that Winona probably remembered Cameron.

Furthermore, by that time, Cameron started to make his feelings clear for Winona he met first. Cameron had struggled since experiencing a heart-break similar to losing 1-0 in extra-time in a cup final with Winona that glorious warm evening. For Winona had told him that they could only just be friends and that’s it. Winona had probably sensed things. Or heard rumours through the grapevine.. literally..

Anyway, Winona was gone, gone.. well to Albany at least. Well maybe not that far north.

Suddenly Cameron was left with nothing but feelings for two Winonas.. one of them who was in touch with Cameron, the other not so..

but at the midst of the bright darkness, Cameron realised he may see Med student Winona again but he just didn't know when.. what on earth to say.. he hadn't talked to her for two long years.. this was prob her last year in Dunedin, and prob mine too.. what to do?
