yes it's officially summer.. coz we're suddenly having to wind our clocks an hour forward.. i'm so confused.. is it 9.27 or 10.27 at night?

well had a p good Saturday..weather was a peach.. i think it must have been 20s even with the wind but the sun was certainly strong enough for a tan at times as Otago took on Canterbury in the great Southern derby on Saturday afternoon - just like in the good old days where Napoleon Dynamite came from.. but what a game.. prob my best ever game at the Brook.. coz it dint have the shiver of a cold winter night game.. blame the night games on the Poms and BSkyB..

anyway it was a memorable afternoon spent with Jono and Andrew Germann, seated high in the Terrace Gold seats overlooking the ground.. sun was glorious and so was Otago's defence.. in the end, the much proclaimed best-rugby-province-in-the-world-including-Wales-and-South-Africa just failed to get over the line, having been 24-0 at one time and pummelled by 4 tries..

memorable afternoon.. wish the All Blacks could play at 2.35 pm on Saturday afternoon rather than the weird time of 7.35 pm in the middle of July.. now i know why the oldies miss afternoon rugby.. particularly big games like this one.. an afternoon i'll never ever forget, partly coz of the result, but mostly coz of the beautiful weather..

anyway Otago has done it where i prob thought they couldn't.. c'mon Wests Tigers now!

p/s another sign that it's summer.. there's suddenly no big footie game to watch on Saturday night, be it league or NPC.. well prob just this weekend coz the big one was in the avro anyway.. next weekend's Cutting Edge celebration night, and Canterbury take on Auckland..

oh a dare.. if the Cowboys win, i'll walk into my class topless, and with a cowboy hat..
