my five day holiday is over.. i must restart work on my essay tomorrow.. otherwise i'm doomed...
went down to Invercargill for the day.. visited the Mcdonalds' in Hawthorn and to my - and my mum and bros' - surprise Chris' mum invited us for lunch.. which was really really nice.. Chris' mum - can't remember her name sorry - and dad, Robert were quite interested in us, seeing we're not obviously "locals"..
anyway it was like summer in Invercargill and Bluff.. really hot and nice.. finally got to see the famous Land's End signpost..
i love one-day road trips.. it means ya don't have to find a place to stay and when ya get home at night it's great to just slouch on the couch and just watch tele after a great day's of travel.. and i like driving at night.. a bit of adrenaline rush as ya work to concentrate on the dark road.. will prob do one to Cromwell on Anzac Day.. and might see what Mel is up to..
