London blog 2

Sorry I haven't been able to write as frequently as I might have. It's just when you come all this way to this part of the world for the first time in your life, you do want to see all the sights as much as you can, and London has so many of them, that I still haven't quite seen everything after 5 days. I've managed to see the likes of Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, Tower of London, Tower Bridge, St Paul's Cathedral, Oxford/Regent Streets, Hyde Park, St. James Park, Regents Park, Burlington Arcade, Green Park, Baker Street (see where I'm going?) and Tate Modern plus squeeze in a football game at Upton Park - West Ham v Plymouth, crap game but great atmosphere, £20 not too bad and I think I'm now a West Ham United member coz they gave me the card! Still yet to see the British Museum, London Eye(might skip it since got such a great view on top of St Paul's Cathedral), National Gallery, Twickenham, Greenwich, Lord's, The Oval, Wembley, Chelsea.. but should have at least 2 more days in London the way I'm going to see those.

But as you can see I've been rather busy, as well as not having as much access to the internet as I might have liked - reliant on Internet cafes and have to be careful as they're £1 for an hour. But have managed to upload some photos onto my facebook - and my Flickr as well after finding out what my yahoo ID actually is -freakin underspace!!!

So what can I say abt London? I love it.. It's the greatest and best city I've ever seen. It's beauty lies not only in its massive and multitude of parks (speaking like a Brit now!) and historic buildings (St Paul's is a tremendous sight inside and outside) but also just in the culture and the way of life. Spend a lot of time on the trains and Tube getting around (the Tube is my best friend!). Things are definitely more expensive here but once u get a hang of the discounts, it's actually quite liveable which I guess is why 20 odd million people live in London!

Anyway my time is almost running out.. This weekend, planning to go up to Leicester or Southampton to see my friends and will start travelling around the country. Will be in Cardiff the following weekend for the rugby! Will keep u posted when I can and will try and add more photos.. Just look at facebook or flickr!

Cheers!
