Sagrada was the highlight for me obviously.. It's probably the most famous construction site in the world.. Initially it doesn't look much bigger than Notre Dame in Paris or St Pauls in London until u go inside.. and if u think u've seen every bit of the building, another piece of detail comes up.. The brilliance of Gaudi and not the only one in this city.. just taking the trail to find Gaudi's buildings was prob good enough for this shoestring traveller - La Predera, Batillo on Passaig de Gracia and there's Park Guell which I didn't quite see amongst many others..

Another was seeing the Nou Camp and seeing the Museum.. best footballing experience in Europe so far bar actually watching a game at Anfield at the Kop.. A bit of a journey into the suburbs which I have to admit arent the greatest in the world - more so the newer ones which are v plain and look like boxes..

Also saw Museo Picasso the Olympîc Stadium and the other Barca fooball club, Espanyol.. did La Ramblas 3 times and the freaks on the street who would do a v good job at Madamme Tussauds still entertain esp the catman.. Barca lacks the cityscape of Paris and London but its what u see on the street that makes Barca what it is.. i'd say it's my 3rd favourite place or city on my tour so far..

Anyway gotta go and catch my train from Avignon to Toulon.. Avignon is really nice but shame couldn't spend more than one afternoon and night.. Saw Popes Palace and the Pont du Avignon.. Staying in a p nice one star hotel coz the hostels are across the river in Villeneuve sur Avignon - a nice part of town with a fort but didn't quite get to see it..
