this is the summer time..

and to start the hols, a humongous sporting weekend.. and halfway through it.. Flintoff scoring a first-ever century against the mighty - or should i say "once-mighty" - Aussies and Bond absolutely murdering India on Friday.. Saturday, well "that" game at the Brook.. and alas even though there were ppl who wanted to sponsor me i decided well, i've been p lucky and gone to see South Africa (03), England (04) and the Lions this year plus Highlanders and Otago games.. but what a game! i was praying hard for an NZ win.. and not only did we get that, we got a bonus point which in a nutshell means we just need to beat the Aussies next week to get back the Tri Nations.. but my goodness did the Saffers play well.. and after that more cricket from Robin Hood land, and England confirming the "once-mighty" tag on the Aussies.. can ya believe it? Australia over a 100 runs from avoiding the following-on.. what is going on? prob believable considering that Rosenborg - Norwegian champs for the last 11 years - are 9th in the Norwegian league and nowhere near retaining their title..

anyway that doesn't really mean much..

it may be the hols.. but still p busy.. got to plan Oscars.. got to apply for summer studentships at Otago and with HortResearch.. got to do filming for Oscars.. and may go tramping at the end of the hols.. but u know students.. we don't really like confirming stuff till the last.. but it'll prob be Greenstone, Kepler or even Milford..

and it's been one p big booze weekend as well.. but it seems that i'm p tolerant.. or strong.. which isn't necessarily good.. on Friday, i had a glass of Shiraz, 2 cans of Speights, 1 can of DB, Saturday, took my uncle to the Speights Brewery - which is v good btw even if ya not really interested in how they brew the drink even the Egyptians enjoyed coz they do run the tours v well.. and had some of the Gold Medal Ale and Chocolate Ale.. must say the Choc Ale aint too bad at all but certainly not one for the purists.. then watching the game at home, had a Dark Ale, Speights and a DB.. and still not really feeling the effects..

mind ya they really only have 4% in the beer.. and i am thinking better strangely enough.. disappointed though to hear that Guinness, the so-proclaimed best beer in the world is mostly now made in Nigeria!! ahh!!
